and so the term ends, quite peacefully i must say. having only 1 paper has its ups and downs. this winter break i’m looking forward to.. having a break. since next term i’ll embark on my first semester of five modules, which will probably be quite a stimulating experience, considering the five exams. hence, this month will be earmarked for personal development. i’ve already submitted two applications for some prestigious summer internships, and there’s more to come since they all close at year end.
so, here’s part one of professional identity construction: customised name cards! i ordered them from korea, right after the shelling of yeonpyeong, and also after realising that print shops in singapore charge a whole lot for double-sided, full-colour printing on premium paper. thanks to weikiat for the referral to morningprint, where he printed his own cards. i hit submit at thursday 5pm and the cards arrived monday 5pm, only 2 business days later, since they work 24 hours. here’s the tracking information they provided via UPS: (okay, i’m intrigued cause i’ve never seen shipment tracking before)

and the cards arrived in a nice orange cardboard box, albeit in cheap UPS wrapping paper. was hoping for a more durable plastic container but this will have to do.
